Lioness Barbara was born in Lindsay, Ontario, raised in Omemee and lived in B. C. for ten years. While out west, she worked in the office of  a Cable TV Company.  In 1979 she moved to Hamilton, Ontario, where she worked as an Inventory Control Clerk until she relocated to Omemee in 1983.  Since then she worked as a Manager for the owner
of an income tax franchise and an investement company for 11 years in Lindsay, Bowmanville and Courtice.  

In 1994 she remarried and a couple of years later she "retired" to work out of her home.  Neither her son, nor her daughter, have given any indication of a grandchild in the near future.

Barbara has been a Lioness since 1995, serving as Treasurer, Secretary, President and Bulletin Editor for her club.  At District level she has sold sweatshirts, served as Treasurer and in 2001-2002 as Regional Representative for 33/52.

In 2000 she was honoured to receive the Connie Coulter Lioness of the Year Award.  She is a third generation member of the Lions family and is proud to serve with the Omemee Lioness.
